Android 4.4.3 Update – LG G2, HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S4

There are mobile devices out there that are currently running the 4.4.4 version of Google’s operating system, and while those devices can enjoy the latest update, there are  some very important smartphone models waiting to upgrade to Android 4.4.3. Among these devices we have the  LG G2, the HTC One, and the last two Galaxy S models released by Samsung, the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy S5. There are other devices ready to upgrade as well.

It has become a known fact that Samsung always tried to roll out the latest updates for its devices as soon as possible, most times succeeding in doing so ahead of its competitors. But while that is the case, Samsung still has some important models that have not received the Android 4.3.3 update yet, such as the Galaxy S4, the Galaxy S5 and the Galaxy Note 3. There were reports earlier about possible updates in June. Then, June turned to July and still no updates were made available. It is believed that the aforementioned updates will either be pushed by Samsung in the month of August, or if not, September being the latest.

Another solution for Samsung could be to follow Motorola. It seems that there are networks which implemented Android 4.4.4 in the Android 4.4.3 update. This means that Samsung users could skip updates, if such measure were taken by Samsung. Motorola has been receiving Android 4.4.3 updates that feature Android 4.4.4 fixes for their Moto X and Moto G devices, with confirmation of a Android L update in the future, while the same cannot be said about the Motorola Moto E for the moment.

The main sellers for LG, the LG G2 and the LG G3, although not as big in sales as their Samsung competition, still represent some of the important smartphone releases that have not yet been granted the Android 4.4.3 update. These phone continue to run Android 4.4.2 as no official word from LG came yet, regarding their updates. Sources say, however, that the two LG devices will see a 4.4.3 update in the upcoming weeks.

HTC  managed to update their flagship device, the HTC One M8, to the 4.4.3 version of Android, while the brand made it seems like they lost interest in releasing updates on time for their phones, as of lately. It is believed that the HTC One  M7 would be next in line for this update.
