Fallout 4 Release Date Revealed at Gamescon 2014
During the 2014 edition of the Gamescon event that took place in Cologne, the Fallout series developer, Bethesda, finally helped the series’ hardcore fans find inner peace, by releasing information about the next Fallout installment. This was positively received, as signs of relief and enthusiasm were displayed. The last installment of Fallout, namely Fallout 3, came out in 2008, and the wait was pretty long for those waiting for this moment as soon as they got around finishing Fallout 3.
Prior to Bethesda’s announcement, something happened on Twitter that spiked up everybody’s hopes. A fan with the username @Michael_F1967 used the popular social network to ask the President of Bethesda, Pete Hines, about the probability of the developer showing up at the Gamescon event with Fallout 4. As the tweet was formulated, @Michael_F1967 asked the president about the RPG-Action/Adventure game listed to be featured at the event by Bethesda, wondering what it could be. The president didn’t hesitate to reply that the title in question was in fact Evil Within, managing to once again leave everybody’s hopes about a possible Fallout 4 announcement in shambles.
The whole speculation mania regarding Fallout 4 started back in January, when the voice actor impersonating Dog in the previous installment of the game, tweeted a tease to his fans, saying that he is crossing his fingers and that there is a possibility of them seeing more of the beloved character Dog. Of course, many tweet replies and questions struck Twitter, but the voice actor did not respond, leaving many to believe that his tease about a possible Fallout 4 announcement was just a prank. Since no more information came from the actor or any official sources, the only thing left to do for the eagerly anticipating fans was to speculate. And they speculated indeed, quite a lot, up until now.
