How to Optimize Your iPhone Battery
Many users complain about the iPhone’s battery life because it seems to
drain too fast. The easiest way to increase the battery life of your iPhone is
to buy a battery extender. However, there are other things that you can do
to optimize your iPhone’s battery and make it last longer without the use
of a battery extender. Here you will find a list of some of the best ways to
optimize your iPhone’s battery and make it last longer for free.
Reduce the Brightness
One of the best ways to preserve the battery life of your iPhone is to reduce
the brightness of the screen. To reduce the brightness of the screen, tap the
“Settings” icon and then tap “Brightness & Wallpaper”.You should see a blue
bar with a circle at the top of the screen. Touch the circle and then slide it to
the left to reduce the brightness of the screen. You can also turn on “Auto-
Brightness” so that the screen will automatically reduce its brightness when
you are viewing the screen in bright ambient lighting conditions (e.g. outside
during a sunny day).
Turn off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
Another way to preserve the battery life of your iPhone is by turning off
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi when you are not using them. To turn off the Bluetooth,
tap the “Settings” icon and then tap “Bluetooth”. Turn the Bluetooth off by
touching the ON/OFF button beside “Bluetooth”. To turn off the Wi-Fi, tap
the “Settings” icon and then tap “Wi-Fi”. Turn the Wi-Fi off by touching the
ON/OFF button beside “Wi-Fi”.
Close the Apps that are Running in the Background
You can also make your battery last longer by closing the apps that are
running in the background. When you exit an app, it does not shut down.
Instead, the app keeps running in the background so that it won’t have to
load up again when you access it. The more apps running in the background,
the faster your iPhone battery gets drained. Make sure that you close
the apps after you exit from it. To see the apps that are running in the
background, double-tap the “Home” button of your iPhone. The apps that
are running in the background will appear on the bottom of the screen. Next,
tap and hold an app until all of the app icons on the screen starts shaking.
To close an app, tap the minus sign on the upper left of the app’s icon. Close
all of the apps so that your iPhone’s battery life will last longer.
Turn Off Location Services
The iPhone’s Location Services is useful for finding restaurants, getting
driving directions, and knowing where you are. However, it also drains your
battery life even when you’re not using it. You can preserve your iPhone’s
battery life by turning off Location Services when you are at home and don’t
have any plans to go out. To turn off Location Services, go to “Settings”,
“Privacy” then “Location Services”.Turn off Location Services by touching the
ON/OFF button beside “Location Services”.
