Minecraft Xbox One and PS4 Release Date in August 2014
Minecraft has been announced to be released on the next-gen consoles the Xbox One and the Playstation 4 in just a few weeks. The price of the game will be $19.9, but if you already have Minecraft installed on your other platform you can upgrade it for just $4.99. This price will be available for one year from the release of this Minecraft version.
The good news is that if you choose to upgrade the Minecraft you have, the game world you had on the original version will be saved and copied to your upgraded version. What this means is that you will not have to start from zero again. Patrick Geuder Saga, head data analysis at 4J studios (creators of MineCraft) has stated in one of his tweet that the game has sold over 54 million copies around the world. The platform with the most users is the PC (16 million copies), the second one is the Xbox 360( 12 million copies) and the third one is the PlayStation 3 (1.5 million copies). The release date for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 Vita version of Minecraft is set to be in August 2014. But this is the only confirmed platforms. Platforms like Nintendo’s 3DS, WII or WII U are not getting MineCraft.
The reason why the majority of people choose to get MineCraft for PC is because the PC brings better graphics than the consoles.
The one thing that consoles have and PC doesn’t is the split-screen multiplayer version, which can be used to play with your friends at home. MineCraft has grossed over 326 million dollars for Mojang, the company that developed MineCraft, and there are high expectations for the profit that the next-generation consoles will bring them.
