Minecraft Xbox One and PS4 Release Date with Progress Update by Dev
The version of Minecraft for the next-generation console is set to launch later this summer. 4J Studios are very busing taking care of the latest feature they need to finalize so that they can release the game version next month. 4J Studios provided the players with a progress update. The progress update was revealed on July 18.
What they have left to do before releasing this version of Minecraft is to fix bugs and other issues of the game. Having only this left to do will probably allow for Minecraft to be released in August.
The biggest obstacle they have to pass over is to make sure that the save file transfer will work properly. Play will be able to transfer their game world that they already have on their platforms to the new version of Minecraft, making it so they won’t have to start everything from scratch on the next-gen consoles.
Along with the safe transfer feature for Play Station 3 to Play Station 4 and Xbox 360 to Xbox One, 4j Studios will also make it able for players to transfer their saved worlds from Play Station 3 to the upcoming Playstation Vita Minecraft edition that will be launched at the same time as the next-gen version also. The Sony handheld versions of Minecraft will be equipped witl cross-save support, so player can move their save files back and forth between the Play Station 3 and the Play Station Vita.
