Sony shared a commercial with its fans and followers through its official Facebook page. The commercial was an advertisement shot for promoting the upcoming Sony Xperia Z3 tablet and smart watch.  Phone Arena reports that the ad focused on a user holding a tablet in his hand, while also wearing the smartwatch running Android.

However, these Sony devices still remain unofficial for the time being, as their official debut is expected to not take place until later this year at the 2014 edition of the IFA convention, where it is believed that Sony will unveil the products. Further speculation involve the theory which claims the two devices that made an appearance in the ad posted by Sony could come in a waterproof casing, due to the fact that they were close to a pool in the ad. The IFA 2014 convention will take place this September, in Berlin, Germany. While you’re waiting for the convention, you can take a look at Sony’s official Facebook page.

It seems like Samsung will be making the Galaxy Alpha device available for pre-order in the United Kingdom starting with 28 August, as it plans to unveil the device on the 10th of September. The device will be made available for purchase from multiple locations starting with September 12, two days after its unveiling, including Phones4U.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha is deemed as the direct competitor of Apple’s upcoming iPhone 6, as it shares several characteristics with the Apple’s flagship device. On this list of characteristic we can point out the metal finish that will be features on the Galaxy Alpha’s casing, as well as the identical screen size of 4.7 inches. The display used for the Galaxy Alpha will operate under a 720 x 1280 resolution, with a 312 ppi pixel density.

A powerful octa core Exynos 5433 processing unit will handle the heavy duty for the Galaxy Alpha, while the included ARM-Mali T-628 will take care of the graphics. In addition, the device will also benefit from the help of 2 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of internal memory, noting that 32 GB is quite a lot of storage space,. However, if you feel like you need more, you won’t be able to expand as the device does not feature any support for microSD. The camera unit isn’t bad, as it features 12 MP for the rear unit, and another 2.1 MP for the front facing lens.

Android KitKat will be available for the new Samsung Galaxy device right out the box, which will make use of the phone’s specs, that will be powered by a 1860 mAh battery.
