Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 Leaked Specs of Benchmark Testing with RAM, Display and Camera
Samsung has been releasing a lot of top notch devices this year, like the Galaxy Tab S, Galaxy S5, Galaxy S5 Mini and Galaxy Tab S that are keeping a strong position in the top best smartphones on the market.
This week, Samsung released a few new handsets on the market, from the Galaxy series: the Galaxy Young 2, Galaxy Ace 4, Galaxy Star 2 and Galaxy Core 2.
Not only did Samsung release this number of smartphones, but they will soon release six other devices that everyone is just waiting to see like: Galaxy S5 Active, Galaxy S5 Prime (a.k.a. Galaxy F), Galaxy Mega 2, Galaxy S5 Google Play Edition, Galaxy S5 Sport and Galaxy Note 4.
While the release date for the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 handset is not known, the press has been released a list of all the specs the phablet will have from GFXbench.
Samsung is releasing the Galaxy Mega 2 as a successor for the Mega 5.8 phablet we saw in the past. This new phablet comes with a slightly larger 5.9 inches touch screen that can render an impressive HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
As for hardware, the list says that the device will house a quad core (64 bit) processor working at 1.2 GHz that is paired with a Snapdragon 410 chipset from Qualcomm, showing off an Adreno 306 GPU. The Galaxy Mega 2 will support 2GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory (the handset will also have a microSD slot for you to expand your memory by up to 64GB). The OS for this device will be the Android 4.4.3 operating system.
As for camera, the specs list says that the Mega 2 will support a 12MP main camera (LED flash) and an impressive 4.7MP secondary camera. While there is no HDR, the phablet can shoot videos of full HD quality.
Other features that the list mentioned and that you would probably be interested in are: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, proximity sensor, light sensor, accelerometer, compass, gyroscope and NFC.
As we said earlier, the release date remains unknown, but considering that the Galaxy S5 Mini was released this week, we’re thinking that we’ll see the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 at Q3 2014.
