Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Release Date on September 3 With High-End Specs And Price
The IFA 2014 Event will play host to the unveiling of Samsung’s newest high-end device, the Galaxy Note 4. The Galaxy Note 4 has stirred up rumors and speculations for a long time now, and it is one of the most anticipated devices that will come out this year. The date set for the Note 4’s announcement is September 3, and we finally have some information on the device’s price and specifications.
Part of why the Galaxy Note 4 has gained so much attention and is the target of so much speculation, is the fact that it is the successor of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 tablet which even today, maintains its position as one of the best phablets. The Note line of smartphones is well known both for its impressive set of software features and its competitive, high-end internal configuration. Taking all that into account, you can imagine how high the expectations are for the fourth installment of the series. Thanks to an Indonesian mobile retailer called Erafone, we found out what the Note 4 is packing under that chassis, as well as what its price is going for.
According to the retailer’s information, the Galaxy Note 4 will feature a 5.7 inch display, operating at a 2560 x 1440 resolution. In terms of processing power, there will be two variants. One will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad core processing unit, while the other one will use Samsung’s Exynos 5433 octa core processing unit. The octa core version will feature four A-57 cores, and four smaller, 1.3 GHz A-53 cores. The RAM capacity would have been great even if the rumored 3 GB were to be the correct speculation, but it seems like Samsung is going to add 4 GB to the device, making it that more powerful. So that’s the RAM memory, but what about internal memory, storage capacity? Well, the device will come in several variants, with 16, 32 and 64 GB of available storage space. Also, it can be upgraded to up to 128 GB through a microSD card. Moving up to the camera, we can say that the Note 4’s shooter is a stunning 16 MP lens, equipped with dual LED Flash and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), so it seems like Samsung made the Note 4 High-End all the way.
The handset will support all the standard connectivity options such as 2G/3G/4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, etc, and will be running Google’s Android KitKat right from the start. No word of the battery capacity so far. As for the price, the device is being retailed on the Indonesian market for the equivalent of about $813, but keep in mind that neither the price of above specification have been confirmed by Samsung.
