Talkray for group discussion and comparison of all messaging apps

talkray For a group discussion from home, office staffs have been using phones or computers with messaging apps like Skype, Google Talk, etc… This adds a lot to their phone bill when using phones. Or would make them carry their laptop everywhere they go, to talk. Talkray makes it easier by enabling it on their phones for free. All people have to do is to have this app on their phones. There are other apps (Viber, Whatsapp…) that are already solving this problem, but talkray offers more. They facilitate upto 25 persons on a group discussion session with ability to transfer any files among them. They can share photos, videos and documents. The group discussion is voice only at the moment, video call is underway. People can get into a conversation, all at once, talking, texting and sharing files. They can as well as doodle on their shared pictures with Talkray.

The Talkray video shows how a mother of a new born baby shares her experience with her mom. It also shows how they easily switch off and on attending a different conversation. This all happens without any money being spent. But is the app’s call voice quality matches with the phone’s?

It looks like it should, as its just the voice data from the phone microphone just like the phone call that is transmitted via their servers. So it depends on the app companies server to make it work. As there are competing apps so having most of all does it for a free talk or messages when one server fails.

Let’s take a look at each apps features and what are the unique feature an app has that makes it unique.

So, its evident that Tango and Kakao Talk are for fun oriented chat with emoticons and animations. Whatsapp and Talkray are more suited for professional atmosphere. If you want fun then these 2 apps doesn’t have it all, though doodling images is one feature that can be used for fun atmosphere within friends and family.

One interesting feature Tango has is it can be used on PC as well. Viber and Whatsapp has most of the platforms covered while Talkray the new comer is only available for IOS and Android.

Being on Android and not much of a fan of emoticons and all that stuff, I’d have Talkray, Viber and Whatsapp on my phone. What are your picks?
